Ms Jo Crowston, Head of Development; Executive Team
As Head of Development, Jo Crowston leads fundraising and marketing at the Bionics Institute.
Since joining the Bionics Institute in 2021, Jo has substantially increased brand awareness, and leads the development of strategic partnerships, impact investment, grants and philanthropic giving to fund research.
An experienced manager, Jo’s 35-year career spans roles across a diverse range of non-profit and government organisations, including The Prince’s Trust, VicHealth, St Vincent’s Institute, OET and AMEB.
A graduate of the Chief Executive Women Leadership Program and the UK MBA in Marketing Program, Jo is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Australian Science Innovations (ASI), which runs Maths and Science Olympiads with Federal Government funding.
Passionate about improving health, Jo originally trained as a nurse in London before undertaking postgraduate qualifications in marketing and pursuing a career in non-profit leadership.
