Bionics Institute Innovate for Life PhD Scholarship Program
The Bionics Institute Innovate for Life Scholarship Program offers stipend scholarships of $35,000 per year.
The scholarships are available to high-achieving students to complete their graduate research at the Bionics Institute, starting from 2023 onwards.
Recipients can choose from the wide range of varied and impactful PhD projects and are supervised by world leading experts enrolled through the University of Melbourne.

Who is eligible for a Bionics Institute Innovate for Life Scholarship?
The Bionics Institute Innovate for Life Scholarship Program offers stipend scholarships of $35,000 per year to high-achieving students to complete their graduate research studies at the Bionics Institute, starting from 2023 onwards.
Recipients will receive a stipend of $35,000 per year, for up to four years, and can choose from the wide range of varied and impactful PhD projects available at the Bionics Institute.
Students will be supervised by our world-leading experts and enrolled through the Medical Bionics Department at The University of Melbourne.
The Bionics Institute Innovate for Life Scholarships are open to students from any branch of Engineering, Biomedical Science and Neurosciences backgrounds with First Class Honours (minimum average grade of 80% or equivalent).
Both domestic and international students will be considered, but you must currently be residing in Australia to be eligible.
Scholarships are offered based on a track record of academic excellence, relevant professional experience, any refereed publications, and your commitment to academic success in your studies.
All students applying for a PhD with the Bionics Institute will be automatically considered for Bionics Institute PhD Stipend Scholarships.
